Displacement piles are an advanced deep foundation solution installed without extracting soil from the ground. This technology is based on the use of full displacement augers or specially shaped tools that laterally compact and displace the soil during drilling.
The pile is constructed by penetrating the ground through rotational pressure, compacting the surrounding soil and subsequently injecting concrete through the hollow stem during controlled extraction.
Depending on geological conditions and structural requirements, the pile can be executed:
- With full displacement augers
- With specially shaped displacement tools
- With integrated concrete injection through the hollow stem
- With or without reinforcement (central bar or cage)
Displacement piling technology enhances soil density and improves load-bearing capacity, making it particularly suitable for urban environments, contaminated sites and projects requiring sustainable construction practices.
