C9XP-2 with DTH hammer for inclined anchors at Frasassi SCARL jobsite, Ancona (Italy)
At the Frasassi SCARL jobsite in the Ancona area, foundation works are part of the Orte–Falconara railway upgrading project, a strategic infrastructure connecting central Italy. The intervention includes the execution of a micropile retaining wall at tunnel portals, followed by the installation of active anchors to stabilize excavation fronts in unstable ground conditions.
On this site, “SCF – Società Consolidamenti e Fondazioni s.r.l.” operates a Casagrande C9XP-2 crawler drill configured with DTH hammer for inclined anchor installation. The machine performs drilling with Ø168 mm casing up to 26 m depth at 20°, in debris and gravel soils.
